Figuratively speaking, the bicycle and I came into the world together. 

I stand wholeheartedly behind the concept of “Smart Mobility” and the intelligent use of all available means of transportation. The bicycle plays an essential role in this concept due to its environmentally friendly design. It allows for a direct and conscious contact between cyclist and nature, the environment, and the changing seasons. Simply amazing!

After 18 years of work experience in the fields of art, design and product development, I decided to broaden and deepen this existing knowledge by completing a university degree in the field of product design. For this purpose, I relocated from sunny Maputo to the beautiful Hanseatic City of Wismar in 2011. 

The bicycle became my primary means of transportation in this city so full of cultural heritage. My grocery shopping was also carried out by bicycle, which was when I realized that the market offered no satisfying solution for a light and flexible bicycle bag for this purpose. This realization led me to further engage with the topic of “Smart Mobility” and to want to find solutions for the following questions: How can people be encouraged to use their cars less frequently? How can goods and items best be moved using different means of transportations? It was out of these questions that the first prototype for the bicycle bag was born!

My young team of designers, architects and seamstresses who stand wholeheartedly behind the concept of “Smart Mobility” have been working with me since 2018. Since then, we have managed to develop some wonderful new products that speak for themselves; light, sexy and flexible. Our products summed up into one word: Smart!
